Sergey Gorban: “This Enterprise is of Strategic Importance for the Development of Russian Economy”

Waterfall construction site was visited by Vice-Governor of Rostov region Sergey Gorban. During his working visit, he received an overview of the construction works process and discussed the prospectives of project funding by regional and municipal authorities with the Project Managers.

Construction of Waterfall BOPP films Plant is listed in 100 Governor Projects of Rostov region. New high-tech production will create 250 jobs and provide food and processing industry members with high-quality packaging material.

“This enterprise is of strategic importance for the development of the Russian economy,” Sergei Gorban said. “Today we have seen that construction is being successfully carried out, and next year the plant will already start operating.”

The construction is now at its excavating, construction and installation stage with utility networks being laid. With the support of the Oktyabrsky district Administration access roads are built and are of a high importance for the new enterprise. Favorable location and effective logistics along with highest quality and a wide range of manufactured films will allow Waterfall to become a highly competitive market member.

“Our films are on equal footing with those produced by Western manufacturers as of their quality, and in some points they can even surpass them,” Mikhail Shulyakov, Managing Director of Waterfall PRO, said. “We are planning to launch the first production line in June 2015, and the second one will follow in a year and start operating in mid 2016.”

The plant equipment was manufactured by DORNIER, a German company specializing in design and manufacturing of innovative equipment for the production of high-quality films. The enterprise’s installed design capacity will make 60.000 tons per year.
