Dornier and Megapolis Group – a new stage of cooperation

On the 13th-14th of May Lindauer DORNIER GmbH CEO (one of the world’s leaders in the production of manufacturing equipment) paid a visit to two companies entering Megapolis Group Holding Company – Donetskaya Manufactura Factory and Waterfall PRO Plant construction site.

Lindauer Dornier and Megapolis Group are long-term partners. The first looms designed and supplied by the German partners were installed on Donetskaya Manufaktura in 2005. In the fourth quarter of 2013 Dornier will start to supply its equipment to Waterfall PRO BOPP film Plant, which is now being carried out by Megapolis Group.

During their visit to DM Textile production site, Peter D.Dornier, the Chairman of Dornier Board of Directors, and Bernhard Wandinger, Dornier Sales Director, examined the weaving, the sewing and the dyeing-and-finishing departments. After the survey they discussed the prospects of further cooperation.

Industrial engineering, technological infrastructure of the factory and the quality of its products were highly acclaimed by German experts. “I haven’t been to such a perfectly organized production of terry items for a long time – and not only in Europe, but in the whole world,” Peter Dornier said. “Today we have seen the most state-of-the-art equipment, and again we have been pleasantly surprised by the high quality and outstanding design of the products.”

During their visit to Rostov region the German team also came to see Waterfall PRO BOPP film Plant that is now under construction and will soon become one of the most state-of-the-art domestic enterprises, unrivalled in its sector. Peter Dornier and Bernhard Wandinger got acquainted with the project management team, discussed various issues on cooperation between Russian and German experts, their plans for equipment supplies and placement, as well as recruiting the qualified staff. Lindauer Dornier will supply the plant with two production lines, having the total production capacity of 60 thousand tons per year.

First equipment supplies will start in 2014, installation of the first production line and its testing are planned for mid 2015.
